Fishpond Delta Sling Review

Fishpond Delta Sling Review

BY ANDREW BRADBERRY ON APRIL 5, 2015

I’ll cut right to the chase—it didn’t take long for the Fishpond Delta Sling to become my new favorite pack for fly fishing. It has all the features you want, and some that you didn’t even know you need, while maintaining a slim and comfortable profile that is hardly noticeable when you’re on the river.

At first glance you may think this is a small pack, but the Delta Sling offers plenty of room for all your gear, accessories, food, water, and a jacket—basically everything you need to stay on the water from sunup to sundown. The back air mesh panel keeps things comfortable when the pack gets heavy, and the whole pack does a great job of sitting mid-back and out of the way.

One of the best attributes about this bag is that it’s almost completely symmetrical, making it great for switching shoulders if you get fatigued, or better yet, making the sling design just as functional for left-handed anglers.
