Erin Block works as a librarian by day and writer by night. She lives in the mountains of Colorado and is an avid and diverse fly angler, from alpine lakes in search of trout to mudflats and warm water ponds in pursuit of carp and bass along the Front Range. Her passions are the highcountry, and homewaters, and finding her place among them; always with her dog Banjo by her side. Erin’s first book, “The View From Coal Creek: Reflections on Fly Rods, Canyons and Bamboo” was published by Whitefish Press (2013). Her work has appeared in various publications, including: Waterlog, American Angler, and regularly in TROUT Magazine.
